11月24日（木）、福岡女学院看護大学の学生と教員が、バングラデシュのメヘルプル県にあるションダニ看護学校の学生と教員、「バングラデシュと手をつなぐ会」のメンバーとオンライン交流会を行いました。

約1時間の交流会では、両大学の学生から、それぞれの国の看護師を目指すための勉強や、留学、外国人看護師、男性看護師、結婚後の働き方などについての質問に答えました。 回答は、両国の看護教育や看護学生がいかに共通点と相違点を持っているかを示すものでした。

COVIDの流行で留学ができなくなったが、オンライン国際交流で文化的能力を養う努力は止まらない。この学生たちは、ビデオ共有システムを使い、身近な話題から看護に関する話題まで、経験や意見を共有する7週間のプログラムに参加していました。

ションダニ看護学校の学生やスタッフは、2018年と2019年の過去2回、本学を訪れています。今後もションダニ看護学校とオンラインおよび対面での交流を続けていきたいと考えています。

 

　On Thursday, November 24, students and faculty from Fukuoka Jo Gakuin Nursing University met online with faculty and staff from Shandani Nursing Institute in Meherpur, Bangladesh and members of the Bangladesh Totewo Tsunagu Kai. 

　During the hour-long meeting, students from both universities answered questions about studying to be nurses in their respective countries as well as about study abroad, foreign nurses, male nurses, and working after marriage. The answers showed how nursing education and nursing students in both countries had similarities and differences.

　The COVID pandemic has prevented students from studying abroad, but that hasn't stopped our efforts to develop cultural competency through online international exchanges. These students had been participating in a 7-week program using a video-sharing system to share experiences and opinions on topics from the familiar to nursing-related.

　Students and staff from Shandani Nursing Institute have visited our campus twice before in 2018 and 2019. We hope to continue both online and face-to-face exchanges with Shandhani Nursing Institute in the future.
